hello users of microsoft,

So let me first tell you how this might have happened, I was trying to login to my account and for a discord server but I never gave my account information or anything. I then received an email from Microsoft saying i got a code for something. I didnt think much of it. Now when I go to login to my account it simply does not exist . I have the email that they changed my account to and I read somewhere if they removed my primary email I cannot get it back? I cant lose this account as it has 10 years or more worth of history and nearly years of grinding on my java account on Minecraft. I have receipts of me contacting support for other issues and the account is still logged into my computer as its the primary login I have for my own computer. Please if someone could help with this would be appreciated . When I also checked on https://account.live.com/username/recover it says the account is there but I simply cannot login to it. I have used this account for as long as I can remember. Please I need it back.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

Based on your description, the hacker was able to remove the account's primary email address/security info and replace it with their own email address, which is why you received the error that your account doesn't exist when signing in.

Since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

Yes, the Microsoft support loop is notoriously difficult to break through. Use this exact path to get a human agent:

    Go directly to [support.microsoft.com/home/contact]

Type "Hacked Account" in the box and hit Enter.

Click the blue "Contact Support" button at the very bottom of the page.

Select "Other Products" and "Manage account security" from the dropdowns, then click Confirm.

This bypasses the self-help articles and reveals the "Chat with a support agent" link.

Hi tropical, getting hit by a Discord phishing link that removes your primary email alias is incredibly stressful, especially with a 10-year-old Minecraft account on the line. When the system says your account "does not exist," it means the hacker successfully swapped your email for theirs and deleted yours from the system, which causes the standard automated recovery form to fail. Since you are still logged into your computer as the primary Windows profile and have your historical purchase receipts, do not log out of your PC; instead, create a temporary new Microsoft account to open a chat ticket with support. Explain explicitly to the agent that your account was hijacked via an unauthorized primary alias deletion and that you have the hacker's email address from your notifications along with ownership receipts, and ask them to escalate your case to the Tier 2 security team for a manual log review.
