I have a laptop with a ssd windows drive and a 1tb hard drive for storage, I am running winows 11 home edition without warning windows has bit locked my storage drive I have tried all suggested remedies including cmd comands using the bit locker key and reinstalling windows and my drive is still locked it seems microsoft want me to upgrade to Pro please help

Hi,
In Windows Home editions, Device Encryption encrypts the drive. This is by design. Can you tell me whether, once you decrypt using the Recovery key in your Microsoft account, it resolves the issue?
I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.
The recovery key did not work I could only enter it via cmd I eventually just formatted the drive as I had about 90% of it backed up, ive also switched off device encryption
