An Azure communication platform for deploying applications across devices and platforms.
For Azure Communication Services (ACS) Email, quota increase requests are supported on paid subscriptions and are submitted as Service and subscription limits (quotas) support requests. The documented path is:
- Go to the Azure portal support creation page:
https://portal.azure.com/#create/Microsoft.Support. - In the search box, type quota and select Go.
- Choose Others / Service and subscription limits (quotas) and continue.
- Set:
- Issue type:
Service and subscription limits (quotas) - Quota type:
Azure Communication Services Email: Sending Limits - Select the correct subscription (the Microsoft Sponsorship subscription) and proceed.
- Issue type:
- On Additional details:
- Select the region, resource group, and the ACS Email domain resource.
- Enter the New Email sending limit and confirm the tier enum (for example: 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, etc.).
- From the Email quota increase article, use the “Copy” template text, fill in the requested business and usage details, save it as a
.txtfile, and upload it in the File upload section. - Complete the remaining fields and submit the request.
If the portal is still forcing a paid support plan instead of allowing the free Service and subscription limits (quotas) flow, that behavior is outside what is described in the documentation and requires direct Azure Support intervention via the same support entry point.
Note that before requesting a higher send limit, ACS Email requires:
- Using a custom domain (not the Azure-managed test domain).
- Building a good sender reputation (low failure and spam rates) by sending legitimate production traffic.
These factors are considered when the quota increase request is reviewed and are required for approval.
