Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with a recurring Microsoft Teams meeting that I am unable to edit or cancel.
The meeting was created from a shared mailbox ([Moderator note: personal info removed] Co.), and I am not able to manage the meeting series. Although I can see the meeting in my calendar, I do not have sufficient permissions to modify or cancel it.
Additionally, when I try to open the meeting details in Microsoft Teams, the window renders incorrectly – the content is unreadable and no actions are available.
I have already tried:
None of these attempts resolved the issue.
This is urgent, as the meeting is scheduled for April 16, and I need to cancel the entire series.
Could you please assist with:
I am also attaching screenshots for your reference.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards, Martina

Hello @SmartHead Co,
Thank you for sharing the details so far. To make sure I fully understand the situation and can suggest the most appropriate next steps, I’d like to clarify a few points with you.
Could you please confirm whether the recurring Teams meeting was created and hosted by the shared mailbox account?
Additionally, we would appreciate it if you could confirm your role for this meeting, specifically whether your account is assigned as a co‑organizer or an attendee?
If your goal is simply to remove the meeting from your own calendar, you should be able to do this by selecting "Decline". This will cancel the meeting only for you as an attendee.
However, if the requirement is to edit or cancel the entire recurring meeting series for all participants, this would require organizer‑level access. Since the meeting was created from a shared mailbox, one possible approach would be to convert the shared mailbox into a regular user mailbox, assign it an Exchange license, and then sign in directly to that mailbox to manage and make changes to the meeting.

To help me better understand what you’re seeing on your side, could you please also share a screenshot of the meeting details or the Teams/Outlook UI where the issue occurs? This would make it easier to confirm whether the behavior matches what we typically see in this scenario.
Before suggesting any concrete action, I want to ensure the above understanding is accurate. Please understand that our initial response may not immediately resolve the issue. Your confirmation on these points will help us work together toward a solution.
Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
