Microsoft Browser usage report

The Microsoft Browser usage report shows if users access Microsoft 365 online services through Microsoft Edge. This report insight can help you migrate your organization to Microsoft Edge. Usage reporting is based on an aggregate count of users in your organization that sign in to their Microsoft 365 account and use the Microsoft Edge browser to access Microsoft 365 services.

View the Microsoft Browser usage report

1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
2. In the navigation menu, select Reports. If you don't see Reports, select Show all, and then select Reports.
3. Select Usage.
4. On the Usage page, under Reports, select Microsoft browser.

Interpret the Microsoft browser usage report

The report displays trends over the last 7, 30, 90, or 180 days. If you select a particular day in the report, the per user data table updates to display users' usage on that day. However, this feature only works for the most recent 28 days.

The Daily active users chart shows the daily user count for Microsoft Edge when used to access to Microsoft 365 services.

The Active Users chart shows the total number of users accessing Microsoft 365 services while using Microsoft Edge over the selected time period.

To add or remove columns from the report, select Choose columns.

To export the report data into an Excel .csv file, select Export. This action exports the usage data of all users and enables you to do simple sorting, filtering, and searching for further analysis.
