I am using my personal home computer and would like to remove my Gmail Account from Microsoft Office 365. I found directions on how to do this, however now I am not able to get into my Microsoft Office 365 Outlook Account.

Help!

Thank you,

Tracy

Hi. I'm Brian and I'll try to help.

When you say you "can't get into" your Microsoft account, why does that mean? Do you use the Gmail address for the Microsoft account username or do you use an address ending in a Microsoft domain like @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com or @msn.com? Do you receive an error when trying to access the account? If so, include it here exactly as it appears on your screen, but be sure to obscure any real addresses that appear in the error.

This forum is dedicated to problems using the new Outlook for Windows. Is that what you are using? When you say you want to remove your Gmail account from Outlook, do you mean the new Outlook client? If that's what you mean, click or tap View, then View settings, Accounts, Your Accounts. Select your account and choose Manage, then Remove. If the Remove icon is not active, it means that the account is the main account and you can't remove it without first making another account the main account.
