If your files are synchronized with OneDrive, you can access them from any device.

    Dear @Ana Chu,

To ensure I understand your request correctly and to support you as effectively as possible, I need more specific information from you:

    • Are you using a business/ school account or a personal one?
    • Which Microsoft subscription are you currently using (e.g. Microsoft 365 Personal, Microsoft 365 Family, Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Office Home & Student, etc.)?
    • Are the files saved in OneDrive or only on the old computer?
    • Are you signed into the same Microsoft account on the new computer?
    • Can you see the files in OneDrive online or Microsoft 365 online?

In the meantime, kindly try these steps:

Option 1: Open the files in your browser

If your documents were saved in OneDrive or in your Microsoft 365 libraries, sign in to Microsoft 365, open OneDrive or the relevant library, and select the file name. The file opens in Word for the web or Excel for the web, so you can view and edit it even if Office is not installed on that computer. Anywhere-access to Office documents in Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Support

Option 2: Install Microsoft 365 on the other computer

If you want the full desktop apps on the second computer, go to the Microsoft 365 apps site, sign in with the same account that is associated with your Microsoft 365 license, select Install apps, and then choose Microsoft 365 apps. After installation, open Word or Excel and complete activation by signing in. Download, install, or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2024 on a PC or Mac - Microsoft Support

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.

The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.
