If you have Home edition installed now you can upgrade to Pro and use the licence you purchased.

Make sure the device is offline (not connected to the internet) and enter the generic Pro product key to start the upgrade.

Once the process is complete restart and go back online.

May I ask why you say you need Windows Home? They are completely compatible and it seems simplest to just keep the Pro. You would have to purchase Windows Home separately and do a clean install to change it.

Windows 11 Home and Windows 11 Pro are different editions, and activation requires a license that matches the installed edition.

If Windows 11 Pro was purchased but Windows 11 Home is actually needed, there are only two supported options in the provided information:

    1. Install and use the edition that matches the license (Windows 11 Pro):
      • Install or keep Windows 11 Pro on the device and activate it with the Pro license.
      • A valid product key or digital license for Pro is required. During installation or from Start > Settings > System > Activation > Change product key, enter the Pro key to activate.
    2. Install Windows 11 Home instead, but then a Home license is required:
      • To activate Windows 11 Home, the device must have a valid Home product key or digital license.
      • If Windows 11 Home is installed while only a Pro license exists, activation will fail because the edition and license do not match. A separate Windows 11 Home license would be needed.

The documentation states that the Windows edition must match the license; it does not provide a path to convert a purchased Pro license into a Home license without additional purchase.
