Installing MS Office on a new MacBook Air

Hello - just upgraded my laptop and now I can't reinstall my older MS Office suite. I assume I have to completely buy a new license of Office? Ugh .....

    In all probability the new Mac is running Tahoe. If so, only MS365 Subscription or Office 2024 [Retail] are supported. For more a definitive response please provide specific Versions of both macOS & Office.
