I understand how stressful it must have been to have your email compromised and lose control of your game accounts. It’s good to hear you’ve at least managed to recover access.
Before getting further, I need to note that Microsoft Q&A is just a user-to-user forum, contributors here do not have access to personal account data to bypass or reset username changes. Your best option is to contact official Minecraft Support directly and explain the situation:
- The account was compromised.
- You already recovered the account
- The username was changed by the attacker.
Just to set realistic expectations though: the normal username cooldown policy will likely still be enforced, depending on what they can verify on the account. At this point, the most important thing is making sure the account is fully secured first before worrying about the name change itself:
- Visit: https://account.microsoft.com/security
- Remove any unknown recovery email/phone/security info
- Change your Microsoft account password again
- Enable 2FA/Microsoft Authenticator
- Review recent sign-in activity.
Minecraft usernames require cooldown period, even if it was done by someone who accessed the account without permission. Still, because this involved unauthorized access, it is worth trying support instead of simply waiting without asking.
