Windows 11 Privacy settings. Cursor will not return to former position on previous page.

I go to; 'Manage you Microsoft account' > 'System and settings' > 'Privacy and security'. I want to check Windows permissions and App permissions, e.g. I want to look at 'Screenshots and screen recording access anyone using this device can choose if their apps can take screenshots or record the screen when this is on'. I check whether it is set to Off/On. I click the back button on the browser to return to the Windows Permissions and App permissions page. But I return to the top of the page rather than the position I left - 'Screenshots and screen recording'. If I want to check the next item on the list, 'Text and image generation'. I must scroll down and look for it. This is very tedious and confusing when trying to check all items on the list. Windows 10 used to return to the point I left the page.

How may I overcome this?

    Welcome G,

I understand how frustrating it can be when navigating Windows 11 Privacy settings through your browser, using the back button returns you to the top of the page instead of your previous scroll position, making it tedious to review multiple permission items.

Before proceeding further, I would like to narrow this down a bit:

    • Does this issue occur only in Microsoft Edge, or also in other browsers like Chrome or Firefox?
    • Are you accessing these settings directly in Windows Settings, or only through the web-based Microsoft account page?

I look forward to your reply so we can continue working together to address the issue.
