I have switched back to Microsoft Outlook. I have two email accounts: AOL and Google/Gmail. Not issues with Gmail; however the AOL accoount is pushing out double email to Outlook. I used IMAP for AOL and had to have the security code from AOL to activate the account on Outlook. I kept getting douoble emails from AOL, so I deleted the outlook AOL account and tried again with IMAP: same problem; next I deleted outlook from my Mac Pro and the reinstalled outlook and again added Gmail and AOl. Same problem with AOL: dupilcate emails. I then again removed outlook from my Mac Pro and then repurchased 365 which included Outlook; again same issue with duplicate AOL emails. I need help, thei is driving me nuts. Mac Pro has Tahoe 26.5

Since Gmail works correctly and only AOL is creating duplicates, the issue is likely related to the AOL IMAP sync settings rather than Outlook itself. Check whether the AOL account has been added more than once in Outlook, and verify that AOL isn't forwarding messages to itself or another connected account. You could also try removing the AOL account completely, clearing the Outlook cache, and then adding it back as a fresh IMAP account. If the duplicates appear only in Outlook and not in AOL Webmail, that strongly points to a sync issue between Outlook and AOL.
