Training: Instruction to develop new skills.
Hello @nunn, leeanne
Thank you for reaching out to Q&A, I understand you are experiencing an issue with a specific Microsoft course.
Microsoft course download link says “not authorized”
This usually means the link is tied to a specific Microsoft account, and the account you’re signed in with doesn’t match the one that was granted access.
Microsoft’s official guidance for Microsoft Learn for Educators says:
- You must sign in to the MSLE Portal with your Microsoft Account.
- To access the Learning Download Center, you must use the same account you used to sign into the MSLE portal.
- After creating a profile, access to teaching materials can take 24–72 hours to be granted.
What to try
- Open the link in a new InPrivate/Incognito window.
- Sign out of all Microsoft accounts first, then sign back in with the same Microsoft Account used for the course/email.
- If this is for MSLE materials, go to the MSLE Portal and open the Learning Download Center from there instead of using the old email link.
- If you recently got access, wait a little longer in case the entitlement is still syncing.
If it still says not authorized
Open a support ticket from the Help link in the MSLE portal. Microsoft’s docs recommend using the portal support flow if you still can’t access the Learning Download Center.
I hope you find this helpful. Please mark the answer as "accepted" as this helps others in the community find relevant answers, and please follow me here on Microsoft Q&A. Thank you so much have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
Andrew Taylor
