To get a live Microsoft support agent to help with an Outlook problem, use one of these options based on whether Outlook.com (consumer Outlook on the web) is used:

If Outlook.com can be signed in to
1. Go to Outlook.com and sign in.
2. Select Help on the top menu, then Help again to open the Help pane.
3. Enter the issue in the Search Help box.
4. If the self-help articles do not resolve the problem, scroll to the bottom of the Help pane.
5. Under Still need help?, select Yes.
6. Choose the option to Chat with a support agent in your web browser or similar, then provide the details requested.
If Outlook.com cannot be signed in to
1. Use the Microsoft account sign-in helper via Get help signing in: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2236350.
2. Follow the prompts to regain access; direct phone assistance is not available for sign-in issues, but this is the supported path.
Using the Get Help app on Windows (for a call back or chat)
1. On Windows, open the Get Help app (type “Get Help” in the Start menu search and open it).
2. Type a short description such as “Outlook problem” or “Chat with an agent” and press Enter.
3. Select Contact support at the bottom when it appears.
4. Choose the product or service (for example, Outlook or Microsoft 365/Office) and follow the prompts.
5. When offered, select Chat with a support agent in your web browser or Call me back, then enter contact details so a support agent can call back.
