How to verify Azure for Students?

Azure for Students requires successful verification of academic status through the institution email address and meeting the eligibility rules.

1. Eligibility:
   • Must attend an accredited, degree‑granting two‑ or four‑year higher‑education institution as a full‑time student.
   • Must be at least 18 years old (or meet the age requirement in the region for Azure for Students Starter).
   • Must verify academic status using the organization (school) email address.
2. Verification method:
   • During sign‑up, enter the institution email address when prompted.
   • A verification message is sent to that address; complete the verification from the email to activate the Azure for Students subscription.
3. If verification keeps failing or is blocked:
   • The offer can only be used once per eligible customer and cannot be combined with other offers.
   • If the $100 credit or 12‑month period has already been used, the subscription must be upgraded to a pay‑as‑you‑go subscription in the Azure portal to continue using Azure.
