How do I get the billing and number details of my previous Skype landline number for port request?

I need to get my previous Skype number account billing statements to port number to another carrier. However, now Skype doesn't exist - only Teams. I can access previous billing statements on Teams via the Skype dial pad however only billing numbers appear and not the actual Skype landline details to show for porting purposes.

    Hello Chris Q

I understand you’re trying to obtain the billing and Skype Number details needed for a port request, but the Teams view only shows partial information.

Most of this scenario is already covered by Q&A Assist, so just to make sure we’re on the same page:

Have you signed in to the Skype account portal (via the billing link in the AI response) and checked the billing/account section there?

    User's image

That’s where the full subscription + number details are usually available, not in Teams.

    For porting:

    • The process described in the AI answer is the correct one, and your new carrier typically uses that information to initiate the request.

If you’ve already followed those steps and still cannot see the required Skype Number details. At that point, the best next step is to contact support via live chat so they can help retrieve or provide official documentation for the port request:

    • Visit Contact Us - Microsoft Support
    • Select the product or service you're having issue with.
    • Click Get Home Support
    • Type a brief description of your issue in the search box.
    • Click Get Help and select Contact Support below.
    • Go to the Products and services tab and choose the appropriate product.
    • On the Category tab, choose the appropriate category or an alternative option.
    • Go to Confirm.
    • Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours) if available. Explain your situation clearly.

Please kindly note that this is a public user-to-user forum, I do not have the ability, tools to unblock, recover accounts or bypass security. Only Microsoft’s official recovery process can restore access.

Billing information and Skype Number details are still accessed through the Skype account portal, not directly from Teams.

    Based on the available information:

    1. Existing calling and Skype Number subscriptions continue to be managed via the Skype web portal. Billing information can be accessed from the Skype account/billing page:
      • Use the billing info entry point provided: here.
    2. For porting a Skype Number to another carrier, the official process is to work with the new carrier and follow the Skype porting guidance:
      • Start the porting process using the instructions in the Skype Number porting article: start the porting process.
      • The new carrier typically only needs the Skype Number itself and account ownership details; they do not rely on Teams billing views.
    3. If the number is Swedish, note that Swedish Skype Numbers are being terminated on December 31, 2025. To avoid deactivation, port the number out before that date.
    4. If required documentation or invoices cannot be obtained via the portal, contact Skype/Microsoft support so they can provide billing or account evidence for the port request:
      • Use the Skype support contact options described in the “Contact Skype support” article.

In practice, to prepare for porting:

    1. Sign in to the Skype account portal via the billing link above and download any invoices or billing statements that show the Skype Number subscription.
    2. Provide the Skype Number, account name, and those invoices to the new carrier and ask them to initiate the port using the Skype porting instructions.
    3. If the number or billing details are missing in the portal, open a support request via the Skype support contact page and ask specifically for documentation of the Skype Number subscription for porting.
