Microsoft Reading Progress assignment videos are slow to load

Hi all

We have been using Microsoft reading progress assignments in Class teams over the past year with success, but we have noticed that the loading of student videos is slower now taking from 10 to 20 seconds for about a 1 minute clip.

We have tried the following troubleshooting steps and we get the same result, so I have a feeling it has to do with Teams than anything else.

  1. Using the new Microsoft Teams app
  2. Using the old Microsoft Teams app
  3. Using Microsoft Teams on the web
  4. A different internet connection

Has anyone else experienced this as well and found a solution as it is becoming a little frustrating?

Thanks

Dennis

    Hello Dennis,

    Hope this finds you well.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing slow loading times for Microsoft Reading Progress assignment videos. Based on your description, it looks like this is affecting all teams clients.

I did further tests and consults; however I couldn't reproduce this issue. In case you are connected through a VPN, firewall or proxy, please try bypassing or switching them off and check if there is any difference.

Also, if this is affecting multiple users, as an organization admin, you can also raise a service request to report this symptom to our online channel through the O365 admin center if you have the permissions. A support agent can further connect with you remotely, for further troubleshooting to check your tenant connectivity to the service and involve the backend team where need be. Get support for Microsoft 365 for business -- Online support.

Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Ashraf.
